i. It was not always intended that Antara would be altogether ignorant of the Fed. There had been plans that those she came across in her life while living in India would offer her tantalising glimpses of how currency-related lives were led.
It was the Bengali developmental economists and Kolkata that decided against that approach, so that Antara didn't have the slightest idea of what she was missing out on, or that she was missing the woods for the trees, fixating on the Jer Powells as 'finance celebs' without realising that the Fed Chairman's speeches came from the institution, planned decades in advance, based on intelligence from the Nazi Holocaust, so unlikely to be friendly towards Kolkata.
ii. One would also have to remember that neither did Antara's parents insist on the 1980-Mykolaiv arrangement nor had Antara ever enjoyed its privileges.
Thus, what was being punished was supposed human greed (the desire to preserve the lease within the lease family), while laying down the argument that not everyone was allowed self-preservation or material upliftment.
The question was now with the POTUSes, both former and serving: if extra-legal punishment for Antara had been chosen, pre-emptively before she knew her narrative, just so she didn't display human greed for the legit lease, what were the consequences for the POTUSes once their actions have been understood?
