As days and weeks pass, a certain problem was bound to emerge: it was about Brabourne students picking up hints and clues not meant for them, interpreting them anyway they wanted it to, then selling it to the Howdy crowd in the US.
From time to time, Antara would provide clarifications. Just so we knew, Prominent Personality was at Brabourne for all five years but spent only a little over one year at the hostel, Aug 1995 to Oct 1996. Similarly, the in-law/cousin studied at Brabourne all five years but hostel was around a year or so. One would have to understand why distorting these personal details was proving lucrative to the Howdy crowd, why were they doing it?
If Brabourne gave two-days holiday instead of the usual one-day for certain religious festivals, it surely didn't mean that the Middle East would turn out to support the lease.
However, vermicelli sold in India often came in different colours but when cooked, "the vermicelli kheer was always white". That was from Antara's childhood, not Brabourne or Kolkata.
