The rationale/How 'the House that Jack Built' worked

"...This is the rooster that crowed in the morn

That woke the priest all shaven and shorn

That married the man all tattered and torn

That kissed the maiden all forlorn

That milked the cow with the crumpled horn

That tossed the dog that worried the cat

That killed the rat that ate the malt

That lay in the House that Jack built."

Antara was aware that the Philby-Himmler-Bengali leader lease needed a large intelligence desk and why not, it wasn't that either Philby or Himmler had any idea about the lease.

Why Chetla considered ignorance as a source of pride, the fact that she was always unprepared as something worth an assertion was gradually becoming clear. Antara's right hand has become paralysed, she could no longer cook, eat, take a shower, write unless she was doing it with her left hand

"What a woman Chetla was, what a way to convey that every individual must join the Communist-Mob groupings that the NRIs have organised. Just pure physical violence against Antara, taking away one bodily function after another, to maintain status quo in favour of the lazy and the corrupt."

Of course, Delhi wouldn't treat Antara's illnesses. "Indians could seek treatment in the US, the NRI whiplash saw to it that American physicians and surgeons were attentive. Antara didn't have such prowess, why should Delhi treat her illnesses? No country protested at the UNGA about the Sept 6 poisonous medication given to Antara, which meant the physician had worldwide support for his attacks on her."

It was just supposed to be a research and academic desk, dominating the foreground, because Antara's parents couldn't finish their work.

The desk in the foreground, for those who had needed it. 1996, Purulia, soon after JAST.
