Batanagar and Malda Continued: The endgame belonged to Nasser

 It was not easy to understand the politics of Batanagar and Malda or the agenda they pursued. 

"It was Gamal Abdel Nasser who had chosen these two towns in Bengal as a symbol of assertion of the Global South, the ultimate challenge to western capitalism."

In fact, Nasser, while making his plans, had calculated lack of contact-corroboration as well as the urge to use superior intelligence to survive against the onslaught from Nagpur and Kolkata. 

"First, the KGB would play a leading role in setting up the International Criminal Court. It would show that western countries were no longer institution builders, that Communist Asia had copied those techniques and beaten the West at those games."

(The ICC was set up in 1998.)

But the ultimate success would be in appropriating western intelligence and saying it was always Communist Asia's intelligence. 

"If the West couldn't even save its intelligence, what was left of it, why couldn't Communist Asia run it to the ground?"

Nasser had thereby wanted the legit lease heir trapped in India, writing and pleading her case, being roundly ignored, taking to an advanced electronic medium (like emails or blogging) for dissemination of information till Communists attacked the western militaries, so that the legit lease heir's work could be taken over, without any acknowledgement of her efforts or that she had urgently needed help.

"Thus, the work of Batanagar and Malda was not merely withdrawing the Blogger feature using Google, they had to make sure that the work was patented in Chetla's name, as allusions work of Communist women of Asia, and then getting it published, with lavish praise from financiers including the likes of Richard Branson."

For decades, Antara had wondered, why did her mother-in-law use 'rice bran oil' as a cooking medium, did she never get the refined sunflower oil that was popular in India?

Why rice bran, a by-product of milling and refining rice?

Why not, if Richard Branson felt that Antara's allusions work was actually being done by Chetla, and that Batanagar and Malda had enough heft to prove it?
