What kind of adversaries did Antara face at HT? Were they lying in wait for her, to unleash their intrigues the moment she joined? Were they busy with some other venture, and Antara had interrupted?
It was probably the latter, most people in Delhi assuming that the HT honchos took down superior intelligence analysts who planned shorter, better and more effective wars. (This was important in the context of Operation Sindoor and similar military actions of the past.)
One would have to assume that alerts were raised from within govt circles and given Antara's hell inside HT was the 'design bureau', it was 'design bureaus' of a different sort that took down these intelligence analysts. (Elon Musk was a name that came to mind.)
If those taken down by the 'design bureaus' were on the legit lease side, so much the worse for Antara. She herself fell to HT's politics, and had not too many options at livelihood, given Europe was hosting and lavishing NATO attention on those Indian media honchos that were taking down Europe's friends within the Indian Govt.
However, the problem within HT was that it had little genuine information on the lease, which answered the frequent question asked by Indians, "How did Asansol AG Church end up within every intrigue?" Asansol AG Church was always ready with gossip on Bimal Sarkar so whether it had ever read a newspaper or not, it entered HT, having kicked out Antara.
ii. The crime of the US Navy was, therefore, turning out to be threefold:
--It lost two fighter jets over a week, costing $ 135 million;
--It cornered the Indian military into retaliation against Pakistan before it had set its coup-inflicted House in order;
--It ignored the threat to Antara in Feb 2012 when the Beleghata honcho had told her, "In the Mumbai bureau, your Remnick JLF story would be hacked to a quarter its size, near the top (corner of the page)".
This was a decade after Daniel Pearl's murder. It would not be lead story (important), it would not be anchor (connected to US Navy) but it would be hacked? Where was the US Navy when such a remark was made? Planning a fake Military Sealift coup with Indian women?
iii. Antara's fifth Treasury account was for all US journalists, except those of Indian origin, NRIs or married to NRIs. They had asked for the account, it was not Antara's idea.
