Bangladesh, Namibia

There were many reasons for choosing Namibia: 

i. German colonisers, in the early decades of the 20th century, had committed atrocities there that were later repeated by the Nazis during the Holocaust. Thus, it would be a Holocaust threat but who'd know?

ii. Given Namibia was under German occupation from 1884 till 1915, so from around the lease family's shift to Mykolaiv, Ukraine till the Lusitania sinking (May 7, 2015), it was a threat to the US Navy but who'd know?

iii. If you suspected a political leader of Prussian sympathies, the above were excellent ways to 'corner' him.

iv. And not the least, Namibia's leader was Sam Nujoma. He had been a railway employee early in life and passed away a couple of months ago, in Feb 2025, in Windhoek. It would be a Treasury threat but who'd know?

Antara's mother, not as exalted as the London-based PR firm, always got upset at the mention of the South West Africa People's Organisation or SWAPO. 

Maybe she feared the lease family would be 'swapped' for some other entity backed by Kolkata and no one would be able to resist that onslaught. 

Thus, the Oval Office slanging match connected to the global tariffs and now it seemed to have connected to an all-out assault on the US Govt from the London-based PR firm. 

What a way for Hasina and Yunus to get back at India, using an American sitcom to evoke Battle of Longewala (Thar desert) and deprive Antara of what was her right to a livelihood! Antara submitted her work publicly, who (apart from Hasina and Yunus) felt that she didn't deserve respectable employment?
