The London-based PR firm had apparently been surprised by the Pentagon's willingness to 'spread the war', right before the 2003 Iraq invasion. "The mere fact that the Pentagon was in Afghanistan was giving a certain legitimacy to both the legit lease and Reading. What further points were being proved?" the PR firm worthies had wondered before Turkish influence was introduced through the news agencies in Afghanistan.
There were reasons for the London-based PR firm getting worried. "Unlike what the Bengalis of Kolkata thought, the Sept 11, 2001, attacks didn't considerably set back the US intelligence community. Its agents and officials had already travelled to every part of the world to collect Ukraine-related intelligence, and how India might be cornered over its Ukraine policy when Russia finally invaded Ukraine. More than shutting down departments or getting rid of US intelligence officials, it was necessary to compromise them. They were all present in Afghanistan, and the London-based PR firm decided to use Turkey against them."
